Cyber consulting addition to strengthen Orro security offering

Sydney – Orro today announced it has acquired managed security services provider eSecure, as the company strengthens its cyber protection offering.

eSecure, which provides customers with consulting and managed security solutions, works with X of the top 10 financial services organisations in the country and some of Australia’s leading government bodies.

Rodd Cunico, Chief Executive Officer, Orro said the acquisition would add around 35 senior consultants to the company’s existing security team, as well as a Security Operations Centre in Sydney and customer follow-the-sun support services based in London.

Cucino said “Orro’s investment will help us further expand our security business, with incident response and threat and vulnerability management services sitting alongside our existing network, governance and managed security services. We look forward to providing a wide range of secure network and cloud solutions, as well as a new security consulting presence in Australia.”

Orro’s security includes embedded security solutions across network, cloud, data centre and device, as well as the addition of eSecure consulting services specialising in the protection of digital infrastructure.

According to Gartner, Australian organisations will spend more than A$4.9 billion on enterprise information security and risk management products and services this year. Within that investment, security services are expected to grow by 7.3% and account for $3.2 billion of local spend in 2021.

eSecure has offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and London. The company was established in 1993. It is a CREST and 27001 certified Australian Cybersecurity Specialist.

The acquisition follows the launch of Orro earlier this year. The company has operations throughout the country, including more than 4,000 customer locations. Customers include companies such as Australia Post, The Salvation Army, FUJIFILM Business Innovation, Bing Lee and QBE.
