Debut season provides education across the stack, addressing rising business demands

SYDNEY – Orro, Australia’s leading platform-enabled secure network and digital infrastructure provider, today announced the launch of its first-ever podcast, Securely Connected Everything. The debut first season will feature eight episodes dropping every Monday, with episode one available now in two-parts.

Hosted by Michael van Rooyen, Orro’s CTO, each episode will bring in a new IT industry expert to chat about the burning issues organisations face in secure IT solutions, while providing practical advice and discussing the ways Orro and its partners can help.

“Since Orro launched almost three years ago, we’ve worked hard to bring together the best in cybersecurity, networking, unified communications, and cloud services, to be known in the industry for offering comprehensive IT solutions. Our new podcast serves as a platform for us to share the wealth of knowledge from our leaders and partners, and is a testament to our commitment to the IT industry while showcasing the expertise and services that Orro offers,” said Michael van Rooyen, CTO at Orro and host of Securely Connected Everything.

Whether you’re a tech enthusiast eager for the latest insights, a professional seeking expert perspectives, or simply someone curious about the stories behind IT industry leaders, this podcast is created with you in mind. Our goal is to inform and empower our listeners with valuable takeaways they can apply in their roles, or bring back to their organisations, while increasing their knowledge of industry trends and the work we do here at Orro.”

The premiere episode, ‘Unravelling the future of technology with Kevin Bloch’, available now in two parts, features Kevin Bloch, former CTO for Australia and New Zealand at Cisco and founder of Bloch Advisory. Together with van Rooyen, part one explores Bloch’s journey into an advisory role and his valuable lessons learned, as well as his insights on today’s technological landscape and the emerging market trends shaping organisations. Following on, part two deep-dives into advice and insights for CTOs and industry leaders, looking at the intersection of technology and business strategy.

Episode 3, ‘Happy Wi-Fi, Happy Li-Fi: a MIST opportunity’, sees van Rooyen joined by Greg Yelas from Juniper, an AI networking, cloud and connected security solutions organisation and Orro partner. The pair discuss Juniper’s go-to-market strategy for MIST AI, its wired, wireless and NAC offering that simplifies network operation with a focus on AI-driven end-user experience.

Other episodes in season one will cover new and emerging technologies including digital infrastructure and cloud solutions, in addition to what’s happening in the cybersecurity landscape and how organisations can keep data safe.
