New on-demand private networking and compute now available across 30 countries through Orro’s platform-enabled managed service

SYDNEY: Orro, a leading Australian technology partner, today announced a strategic partnership with Megaport, designed to help Australian businesses accelerate their global growth with a more agile and resilient approach to international connectivity. The partnership addresses the limitations of traditional telecommunications models, which can be slow to deploy in today’s fast-moving and complex global markets.

The partnership gives Orro customers access to on-demand private connectivity and compute across more than 1,100 data centres in 30 countries — available now, delivered and managed through Orro.

Daniel Greengarten, CEO, Orro: “As Australian businesses expand internationally, they face a new set of challenges around agility, security, and cost. The traditional model of procuring telco services over months is no longer aligned with the pace of modern business. Leaders want to operate globally with the confidence that their infrastructure is secure, efficient, and resilient. Our partnership with Megaport delivers exactly that, providing a single, trusted Australian partner to manage their global network and provision secure connectivity in minutes, not months.”

The partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward more agile, software-defined infrastructure models as organisations prioritise operational efficiency, scalability and digital resilience over traditional procurement-heavy networking approaches. There is growing demand for consumption-based networking models* that combine cloud-like flexibility with the security and performance of private connectivity.

Megaport’s Executive VP, Global Innovation, Michael van Rooyen: “The whole premise of Megaport is that global connectivity shouldn’t require months of procurement and a different vendor in every country. Through our partnership with Orro, Australian businesses now have access to that capability through a managed services wrapper they already know and trust. Orro’s depth in security and managed infrastructure, combined with Megaport’s global network, means customers can expand internationally with ease. That’s exactly the outcome this partnership was designed to deliver.”

The capability also extends beyond connectivity where, through the partnership, Orro can provision and manage dedicated compute infrastructure in international locations, giving customers a single partner for both network and compute requirements across their global operations.

These services are available to Orro customers now, with the company’s Australian-based support escalation and 24/7 global operations capability meaning organisations gain international reach without sacrificing the local accountability that has defined Orro’s managed services model.

The Megaport partnership is the latest step in Orro’s ongoing expansion of its Securely Connected Everything platform — the company’s commitment to connecting, managing, and securing every aspect of a customer’s technology environment, wherever in the world that environment exists.
