The XDR offering to be hosted in Australia, giving Orro sovereign data capabilities and ensuring regulatory compliance
SYDNEY – Orro, Australia’s leading platform-enabled secure network and digital infrastructure provider, has bolstered its cybersecurity offering by adding additional capability for small to medium sized businesses, partnering with SentinelOne, an industry leader in automated cybersecurity technology, to introduce an Extended Detection and Response (XDR) service.
The new XDR solution, that is already being consumed by large enterprise, enables small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) to access Orro’s SOC capabilities, including 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and handling of alerts as an alternative to its existing Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services.
SentinelOne provides Orro with a dedicated environment hosted in Australia, with IRAP protected status, meaning that it has control over its customers’ data, while ensuring compliance and alignment with the Australian Government’s cyber security regulations, and addressing key cybersecurity concerns on a national level. The Albanese governments ‘’six shields’’ approach to our national cyber strategy calls for Education, Safe technology, Threat Sharing & Blocking, Protection of Critical Infrastructure, Sovereign Capability & Skills and Coordinated global action. The partnership between SentinelOne and Orro is designed to address these six pillars.
Daniel Greengarten, CEO at Orro, commented: “As we continue to see escalating cyber threats, having a sovereign capability to protect our customers’ organisations is significant. Through our partnership with SentinelOne, our XDR solution responds directly to the needs of small and medium businesses, which are more exposed to cyber risks than ever, while addressing key national cyber security concerns as outlined in the recent ASD Cyber Threat Report.
Cybersecurity is a critical concern for SMBs, as they are often more vulnerable to cyber threats than larger enterprises as a result of fewer resources and smaller budgets. The new Orro XDR service provides SMBs with continuous monitoring of end-user devices to detect and respond to cyber threats such as ransomware and malware. The SentinelOne platform has the ability to consolidate other technologies into a single platform, whilst integrating security events of interest from additional security controls such as firewalls. It also offers unified threat detection for faster investigation, threat hunting and response. With this technology, malicious activity is automatically blocked in real time, ensuring constant and vigilant protection.
