Investment in voice and collaboration capability expands Orro customer offering in Unified Communications and Microsoft Teams

Melbourne – Orro, Australia’s leading platform-enabled secure network and digital infrastructure provider, today announced the acquisition of long-standing voice and collaboration partner Coloured Lines, as part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy.

Coloured Lines is a full service Australian carriage service provider, operating on its own independent network. Established in 2011, Coloured Lines provides high-grade and private network and telephony solutions to businesses nationally, with this acquisition strengthening and expanding Orro’s own capability.  Qtec Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coloured Lines, is a specialist UC integrator with deep expertise in Microsoft offerings and broad IP telephony, contact centre, meeting room, and IVA skills which brings advanced MS Teams skills into the Orro portfolio and a strong presence in healthcare.

Orro and Coloured Lines have partnered on a number of projects across customers in financial services, retail, manufacturing and healthcare. Coloured Lines will be fully absorbed into the organisation, retaining all current employees, including its CEO, James Turner, who will lead this part of the business.

Rodd Cunico, Chief Executive Officer, Orro said, “We are pleased to welcome Coloured Lines into the Orro family. Coloured Lines is an industry leading and innovative provider of telephony solutions, as well as a long-time partner of Orro. This acquisition is a great progression of our partnership, and we look forward to working with James and his team to bring to our customers a wider range of services and solutions.”

James Turner, CEO, Coloured Lines said, “We are thrilled to join Orro after having worked closely together for many years. We see a lot of natural synergies between us, and we intend to leverage our combined strengths to continue to innovate for our customers.”

As part of the acquisition, Orro will be integrating both Coloured Lines’ subsidiaries, Qtec Systems and Noojee Contact Solutions. Qtec Systems has earned multiple Microsoft Gold Competencies and was one of the first organisations in Australia to achieve Advanced Specialisations in Teams Calling and Teams Meetings. Noojee Contact Solutions provides high performance call centre software, supporting small to mid-sized businesses with inbound, outbound and hosted PBX phone solutions.

 Other strengthened capabilities following acquisition

The acquisition will significantly expand Orro’s voice and collaboration offering, providing customers with industry leading telephony and unified communication systems.

Orro will now be able to offer customers the power of emerging communication technologies, supported by the expertise and experience of the Coloured Lines team.

Cunico said, “Coloured Lines brings a wealth of industrial knowledge tailored specifically to carriage services, which strongly compliments our current product offering and expertise. Coloured Lines was an early provider of Microsoft Teams Direct Routing capabilities in Australia and we continue to migrate many customers to Microsoft Teams Calling.”

“Together, we will be able to deliver complete solutions for customers across security, network, and cloud, driving us forwards on our strategic growth journey.”

Orro has operations throughout the country, supporting customers at more than 5,000 locations. These include companies such as Australia Post, Flight Centre, QBE and The Salvation Army.
