Orro Launch FAQs

FAQs

Orro Launch

Who is Orro? What is happening to our old supplier?

Orro is a platform-enabled secure network and digital infrastructure provider. We bring together considerable expertise in networking, cloud and managed services and security to give businesses greater agility and performance.

Why has this change been made?

This launch makes Orro a significant player in connecting Australia. At launch we will be one of the leaders in providing secure network, managed cloud and security services, with a very strong growth trajectory. By working closely together we expand the addressable market for our existing solutions, as well as create entirely new long-term opportunities through our shared technologies, people and vision.

How many employees and customers does the new company have?

The company currently has more than 300 employees and 400 customers across Australia and Southeast Asia. Importantly, we’re a business that is set for growth and look forward to sharing some new appointments and customer wins in the coming months.

Is this a good time to be making these changes?

The creation of Orro comes at a time when Australian businesses are making a generational leap in networking, cloud services and security.

According to Gartner, the market for technology services will be worth more than $55 billion this year. However, we also know that current incumbent competitors are unable to meet this need.

Traditional legacy carriers and service providers with large sunk investments in ageing technology are experiencing declining returns, making it more difficult for them to expand on or even support their current infrastructure. For the customer the result is reduced investment, resilience and increased outages.

Where is Orro located?

Orro is headquartered in Sydney and led by Chief Executive Officer, Rodd Cunico, with offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and the Philippines.

Will we have access to new products and solutions under Orro?

In time, yes. However, right now the strategy for the combined company is being finalised. Any changes that may be determined during the integration process will be made to ensure we can both offer and deliver world-class solutions to our customers.

Strategy

Will there be a reduction in employee numbers because of this change?

Orro is focused on growth and we expect to be expanding the number of employees in line with increasing demand from our customers. We look forward to sharing more details about this expansion soon.

Does the company plan any more new acquisitions?

We are always looking for opportunities that support further strategic growth for the Orro business, be that organic growth, or through acquisition. When we do have acquisition plans to announce, we will certainly share that information with our customer partners.

Customer service

Will I still be dealing with the same account manager?

Yes – our priority is to minimise any disruption to clients, so there are no immediate plans to change the account management structure.

Will the pricing of the service / solution change under Orro?

No – any contracted pricing agreements will be honoured in line with the terms of the contract.

What happens to support services?

There will be no changes to support services.  Our teams of dedicated engineers and support staff will still be available 24/7.

Will employees have to relocate?

There are no planned relocations for the business. Orro’s geographic reach is important to us and also to our clients.

When can I expect to hear more information?

We expect to make some further announcements related to Orro in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for those.  However, we encourage you to contact your Account Manager at any time should you have any further questions related to Orro.
