We are looking for an experienced Network Support Engineer Level 3 to join our Cloud Service Group in Sydney.

You will be part of a highly motivated team reports to the Shared Services Manager and provides technical expertise across all internal network (MPLS) and new business developed in the main areas of routing & switching, unified communications & collaboration, SD-WAN, WAN optimisation and any other area.

Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert of our core network acting as an escalation point to both L2 support and project teams.
  • Planning, implementation and coordination of projects and upgrades. Identify requirements, produce estimates, and schedule projects.
  • Support and troubleshooting with MPLS/SD-WAN networks and assist the team in the maintenance of such systems. Mentor other team members as necessary.
  • Performing varied engineering assignments, requiring general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields.
  • Coordinate carrier services for provisioning and delivery of data services e.g. Internet and WAN.
  • Perform remote and onsite support at customer locations.
  • Work with technology vendors to resolve complex technical issues or customer faults and outages.
  • Be part of the design, development, improvement, implementation, testing and maintenance of networked systems in accordance with management policy.


  • Extensive experience with Cisco ASR, ISR routers, 6500 and Nexus switches.
  • Extensive experience of MPLS/SD-WAN (Telco experience will be advantage).
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching, Unified Communications and Collaboration architectures, Network Security and their implementation for small business and enterprise networks.
  • Experience configuring, supporting and troubleshooting small business and enterprise data and voice networks.
  • Expert knowledge of network protocols and standards.
  • Expert knowledge of switching and routing technologies and their application to small business and enterprise networks.
  • Experience in running several projects concurrently.

Qualification (Required)

  • Minimum current Professional level Cisco Routing and Switching certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Desirable Qualification

  • CCIE
  • CCNP Data Centre or Security an advantage.
