About the Role

As a member of the Professional Services team, a Network Engineer will have the opportunity to evaluate, design, architect and implement cutting-edge network and network security technologies for IT and OT customers with varied and unique requirements.

As the Technical Lead for a variety of network transformation projects, you will use your expertise to advise our project and managed service engineers on best practices, assist with technical escalations and provide technical consultation with customers to ensure the end solution meets their requirements. You will also have the opportunity of mentoring junior members of the team, shaping the next generation of Engineers at Orro!

We are looking for a well-organised professional, with initiative and enthusiasm. You will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and will have a good mix of the following skills, knowledge & experience:

  • Experience with network technologies such as SD-WAN, Routers, Switches, Access Points, NGFW, Proxy/Web Filtering, VPN, NAC, 802.1x;
  • Customer consulting experience;
  • Experience running workshops to discover and gather requirements;
  • Experience writing High level, detailed design, and implementation plans;
  • Familiarity with technologies such as CASB, WAF, MFA, Vulnerability Scanning/Management, Email Security, PKI, Endpoint Security and identity;
  • Familiarity with technology offerings from vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Netskope, Check Point, F5, VMware, AWS and Microsoft;
  • Ability to assess network security architectures, designs, and configurations against industry best practices and make recommendations; and
  • Efficient time management and the ability to deliver projects within required timeframes.
