We are looking for a Permanent Full-Time Network Engineer – to join our growing team in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

What is the role?

Reporting to the Network Engineer Team Lead, a Level 2 Network Engineer is responsible for delivering solutions to challenging customer problems.
You will engage directly with our customers to capture business requirements and transform these through analysis and design into technical solutions. You will be an advocate of Orro’s One Touch Control (OTC), responsible for promoting the benefits of the system and contributing with innovative ideas to continuously enhance it. Through your positive attitude, you will educate and energise the team throughout the engineering lifecycle to ensure the successful and focused delivery of solutions.
Your role responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the long-term product and solution strategy for Orro
  • Develop solution documentation to ensure accuracy and currency
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Drive adoption of new technologies by maintaining up-to-date personal knowledge of Orro technology, key industry domains and technical trends
  • Provide thought leadership to the OTC development team around API integration of vendors platforms, including initiating lab environments for testing orchestration and monitoring processes
  • Support pre-sales on technical responses for bids and proposals
  • Provide engineering services on the delivery of solutions to customers with focus on quality and efficiency

We are looking for applicants with a good mix of the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years networking experience in a service provider or large enterprise environment.
  • Excellent networking skills and experience including:
    • Working on large enterprise networks in multivendor environments
    • SD-WAN (Meraki, Fortinet, Cisco Viptela)
    • Routing protocols, MPLS & VRF
    • Cisco Core and Edge Routing and Switching platforms
    • WiFi: Cisco WLC
  • Network Management: Cisco Prime, DNAC, InfoBlox and IPAM
  • Security: Cisco and Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco Umbrella and Cisco ISE
  • Coding and API skillsets
  • Datacentre network technologies
  • Service Now (SNOW)
  • Understanding of the main telecommunications carriers and integrator technologies / products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders/ customers, peers, and colleagues
  • Certifications: Cisco certifications (CCNA/ CCNP), Fortinet (NSE4, NSE5), Meraki certifications (CMNA/CMNO, ECMS 1/2)
