We are looking for a Level 2 Support Engineer to join our Cloud Services group and cover a group of companies located in Newstead.

About the role

This position provides technical expertise and strategic advice that assists in the smooth and efficient operation of the business and its customers.

Position Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop the IT strategy, manage and maintain Orro internal network.
  • Maintain customers MS Windows, Citrix and RHEL servers during nominated maintenance windows.
  • Provide professional server support within SLA targets inside and outside of business hours.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of complex IT Projects.
  • Manage hosted customer dedicated servers.
  • Design and implement straight forward and less complex IT projects autonomously.
  • Work as part of a team developing Orro Smart Options – Managed Services Solution

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

We are looking for a confident, organised individual who has excellent oral and written communication skills and has a collaborative approach to working with customers and management.

  • Applies knowledge to the co-ordination of simple to difficult engineering assignments
  • Minimum 3 years in level 2 or higher support roles
  • Proactively supported Windows and Red Hat Linux server environments for at least 3 years
  • Experience in virtualisation platforms
  • Experience in delivery of Managed Services solutions
  • Industry experience in implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in IT Industry.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Car
  • Completed MCSE/MCITP Certifications.
